What should I bring to a music festival?

For every music lover, summer is the most long-awaited time! Hanging out at festivals with friends, catching goosebumps from your favorite music, making new friends and singing songs around the campfire all night long is priceless. So that you can have a lot of fun and nothing can spoil your vacation, we have collected tips, proven by our own experience and confirmed by experts.

What to bring to the festival

Tent and awning

More often than not, you have to set up your tent in the field. So if you don’t want to wake up in the morning from the heat, put a tent on a collapsible aluminum poles to stretch it over the tent.

Sleeping bag and blanket.

While it can be very hot during the day, there’s a good chance of freezing at night.

A camping mat or a folding chair

Very handy in any situation: while waiting for your favorite group or a camping trip with friends. It is better to find a cover for the karemat and have it handy at all times.

Cookware

Kettle, cup, spoon, bowl, knife – these are necessary things if you find it easier to cook your own food than to buy ready-made. Although it can be very good and not as expensive as it may seem at first glanceĀ 

Gas burner

If you’re going to travel by car and live in a tent, it’s worth bringing a burner for cooking.

Clothing

A few kits for different weather. A warm sweater, a raincoat, and a hat to protect you from the sun are a must.

Footwear

Comfortable sneakers, sneakers (not white ones!), or boots. Rubber boots for rainy weather and flip-flops for showering or swimming in the pond.

Towel

There may be showers at the festival grounds.

First Aid Kit

It is mandatory to have the following with you: sunscreen, mosquito and tick repellents, band-aids, disinfectants, painkillers, cold remedies and prescription medication.

Flashlight

To successfully find your tent at night.

Powerbank

At all the festivals there are always points to recharge your gadgets. But not to wait for your turn, it is better to charge your powerbank as much as possible beforehand. So you do not miss the most interesting things.

Small backpack

Always carry your valuables in a small backpack with reliable zippers or “banana”.

Other tips and tricks

Stand outside the sound engineer’s tent. More often than not, it’s in the center of the fan zone and the coolest sound is right there.

Take a seat at the side of the stage. It is not possible to get to the stage not for everyone, but don’t despair – the seats on the sides of the stage are just as good. It is interesting, that it is quite free and the musicians

Save the program and the map of the festival. So that at any moment to navigate your location and the schedule of the performances.

Have a container of water with a sprayer. Periodically cool off to escape the heat.

What not to do at the festival

Obstructing others. Large gadgets and selfies sticks are better not to take, because they disturb people around you. About the discontent and criticism it is desirable to forget too. If you are tired and you do not like something, just find a secluded place and rest.

Forget about safety. Yours and those around you. Be careful – there are a lot of people around you.

Buy tickets from resellers. Before almost every concert, there are people who are at the entrance or online selling tickets at “super prices.

Take off your wristband. It should always be on your wrist while you are at the festival so there are no problems with security.

Violate the rules of the event. Before you go to the festival, familiarize yourself with the rules and wishes from the organizers.

As it turns out, you don’t need much to go to the festival. Half of it can be borrowed or rented from friends and acquaintances. Now you’re packed, and we’re relaxed and happy for you.
